Ann learned about hand-making junk journals prior to the Covid-19 shut down. She found a lot of Junk Journal teachers on YouTube. Ann discovered she could order supplies delivered, watch YouTube videos and stay completely contented during the pandemic shutdown.
She started crafting journals as gifts for loved ones. Ann taught at JN Long Cultural Arts Center in Cleburne for two years. She is now trying out her workshops at the United Cooperative Services Community Room, off I-35W just south of Burleson, TX.
Ann has been able to pursue her passion by teaching others how to make junk journals of their own. It is fun to watch other people get excited about creating their own Junk Journals.
The neat thing about attending a workshop is the new friends you will meet and make. Ann has made several new friends, over the last few years. All enjoy making Junk Journals and ephemera to add inside.
It's about more than the Journals, it's about life.
"Thank you Ann. I absolutely loved learning how to make this from a paper grocery store bag, a scrap of fabric, textile medium, hand dyed paper, a piece of lace and some recycled rug fabric. I am having the best time transforming the inside pages with wonderful paper images of flowers, birds, butterflies, and many more of my favorite things." - Cindy M.
