What’s Ann’s Story?
Ann learned about hand-making junk journals prior to the Covid-19 shut down. She found a lot of Junk Journal teachers on YouTube. Ann discovered she could order supplies delivered, watch YouTube videos and stay completely contented during the pandemic shutdown. She started crafting journals as gifts for loved ones. Ann taught at JN Long Cultural Arts Center in Cleburne for two years. She is now trying out her classes at Russell Farm Art Center in Burleson. Ann has been able to pursue her passion by teaching others how to make junk journals of their own. It is fun to watch other people get excited about creating their own Junk Journals. Ann has a YouTube channel also called Junk Journals by Ann. Right now there are a few videos of journal she had completed and an old Craft Room Tour. Ann will be adding videos sharing projects that she loves to make. Watch for the first video coming out June 1, 2025
How Class Works
Junk Journals by Ann is an open class where people learn how to make junk journals by hand. Each class is a 2-Day Workshop. 2 Hours on 2 separate Saturdays. A different type/style of junk journal is made every month.
Ann's Goal
"My goal as a Junk Journal teacher is to introduce the art of creating journals that incorporate recycled materials as well as new, creating beautiful and useful unique pieces of art that are called Junk Journals."
