What’s Ann’s Story
Ann learned about hand-making junk journals during the Covid-19 pandemic. She first started crafting journals as gifts for loved ones, but once her journals caught some attention, the JN Long Cultural Arts Center offered Ann a classroom. She gladly took that offer, and ever since, she has been able to pursue her passion by teaching others how to make junk journals of their own.
How Class Works
Junk Journals by Ann is an open class where people learn how to make junk journals by hand. Each class consists of two two-hour sessions, with two sessions held each month. A different type/style of junk journal is made every month.
Ann's Goal
"My goal as a Junk Journal teacher is to introduce the art of creating journals that incorporate recycled materials as well as new, creating beautiful and useful unique pieces of art that are called Junk Journals."
